Is life feeling a little mundane? Can’t seem to find peace, joy or happiness? Maybe it is time to look for “fresh sources of water” in your life. As a motivational speaker and life coach many people talk to me about not knowing their purpose and where to start.

We need several streams feeding into and out of us in order to flourish and thrive just as a stream needs water and gravity to exist.

First of all we need love. Love is universal in that we give and receive it. One unique trait that God has given us, is that our arm length distance is approximately all the same. If you were to stand between two people and one was taller and one was shorter, your hands should be able to interlock at about the same distance allowing all of you to walk hand in hand without having to bend down or lean over. You see it is no coincidence that we were designed that way. We were designed to walk in universal love regardless of skin color, nationality, height/weight, or whether you are rich or poor because you can change your learned behaviors by listening to your spirit and not your mind. Your spirit is a special feeling inside that brings peace, love and joy.

Secondly we need forgiveness. Let go of who you think you are so you have the freedom to create who you are suppose to be. Forgiveness of ones self takes self care. You must love yourself inside and out. Forgive past mistakes and failures and learn that they are just lessons in life. Lessons to teach us to live life to the fullest. When you completely forgive yourself and others, nothing can stop you for pursuing your purpose and passion in life. Scripture says “Do not be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Romans 12:2. Let go of what was and flow into what is waiting for you.

We need to have a vision. The third stream of water is to have clear vision. We are blinded by our own eyes. We see people and ourselves by the clothes worn, hair, and makeup but take all of it away and we are equal. A blind person can not judge a person by their clothes or by their looks. They have to feel the soul and spirit of the person. Their vision comes from trusting their inner vision. So when you close your eyes and take the outer world away what to you see? What do you feel? I purchased a mindfold blindfold to enhance my meditation practice. It completely blocks out all light. It allows for me to keep my eyes open and meditate openly without distraction.

Have you ever seen a stagnate pond or body of water? It turns all green and forms algae. If we don’t allow fresh water into our lives then we become stagnate and life becomes mundane. That is why it is important to keep a fresh stream of people in our lives. We need to trust and be open to others in our life. Allowing others in our lives continually feeds us with passion and desire. Not everyone will understand you or support you but know that they are in your life for a reason, season or lesson. Do not shut down. God has made us to connect with others, so reach out, try something new and engage with others.

Lastly Our Creator has created us to have a vision, imagination and purpose even before we were born. It is our special gift and talent. Science has predicted that our chance of being born was one in 400 trillion according to life coach Mel Robbins, so let the river of life flow through you. Be open to new people, ideas, passions and step into your purpose.

Walk in Favor, Forgiveness and Grace.
